PATHfinder Real-Time PCR kits are primary tools for modern food and water quality and safety testing. The kits detect in different sample the presence and the identity of microrganisms through their DNA. This kit paired to an appropriate DNA extraction kit (e.g. Generon FASTfood - Cat# EXD009) allows for the detection of Cronobacter in less than 2 hours. Cronobacter can be detected in enriched media broth or in water samples collection filters. The kit in less than 30 minutes, without any DNA extraction step, allows also for the identification as Cronobacter of a colony isolated on a plated growth medium. The kit was developed according to FDA BAM Chapter 29 indications hence it includes an internal amplification control, a positive and a negative control.
