By October 27, 2017, EU Member States must comply with the European Commission Directive 2015/1787 “amending Annexes II and III to Council Directive 98/83/EC on the quality of water intended for human consumption” which includes, among other things, the use of the ISO 14189 method for the research of Clostridium perfringens.
Generon offers the opportunity to satisfy these new indications thanks to three products from our partner Sifin of which we are exclusive distributors for Italy.
The method uses isolation of colonies on TSC agar prepared with the following products:
TN1241 TSC Agar Base
TN1333 TSC Selective Supplement
and confirmation of colonies with the acid phosphatase test:
TN1519 Acid phosphatase reagent for Clostridium perfringens confirmation acc. to ISO 14189
