3M Hydra Sponge – Airtight bag with moistened sponge for surface picking with 10 ml buffered peppered water

This 3M sponge is prehumidified with 10 ml of buffered peppered water buffer for convenient sample collection. Biocide-free cellulose does not interfere with the viability of microorganisms within 48 hours of refrigeration for Salmonella and E. coli and 72 hours for Listeria. The cellulose material is durable, absorbent and effectively retains and releases the sample to minimize excess dripping. The sponge also comes with a double-layer bag to ensure resistance to punctures and mechanical stress during mixing or transportation. The cable ties ensure a closure and the writable area is ideal for documenting data, date, time of collection and other information. Both the bag and the sponge are sterilized with gamma rays. The product is also available as a kit with sterile nitrile gloves.
