- Tag/Filter: Sulfite reducing clostridia
The Acid Phosphatase Reagent is used in accordance with ISO 14189 to detect acid phosphatase from Clostridium perfringens. To detect acid phosphatase, put 2-3 drops of the reagent onto a filter paper and then rub a suspect colony grown on TSC agar into it. If there is a positive reaction, the colour changes to dark red / brown red within 3 - 4 min. SIFIN Acid phosphatase reagent has a long shelf-life because it is provided in powdered format to be reconstituted with the buffer provided in the kit. The freshly prepared reagent is usable for at least one week if protected from light and stored at 2-8 °C. If it has been stored for longer, the functionality of the reagent should be checked before using it. If the reagent becomes cloudy, it can be centrifuged again at any time.
