Chromogenic Coliform Agar (CCA) is a differential, low-selectivity chromogenic agar medium used for the simultaneous enumeration of Escherichia coli and coliform bacteria in water samples where low background microbial contamination is assumed (drinking water, disinfected swimming pool water or drinking water outlet from water treatment plants).
