Monitoring hygiene in the food industry is not an easy task. Food technologists and quality control managers are always looking for ways to improve current procedures to ensure the safety of our food supply. The buffer-based system allows access to hard-to-reach or uneven surfaces that often harbor bacteria. Pre-moistened swabs simplify and improve the food hygiene monitoring process, improving sample absorption, especially on dry surfaces. This environmental sampling kit combines a moistened rayon buffer with 10 ml of saline peptone water (MRD) in a convenient plastic tube. The product allows to evaluate the microbial presence on surfaces, fomites and equipment according to ISO18593. Each box contains 50 tubes with screw cap.
