This calibrators set allows for the quantification via PCR of the % contribution of animal DNA in a DNA extract obtained from multi-ingredient food (e.g. meatloaf). The DNA content is titred via fluorimetric testing - hence this set can be used with any PCR kit detecting an animal reference gene. Each set includes vials containing 120 ?l of bovine DNA dispersed at scalar percentages (100% - 10% - 1% - 0.1%, 0%) in a corn DNA background at a total concentration of 8 ng/ul. The DNA is extracted from raw meats - when ordering PMA99W_HT the DNA is extracted from meats heat treated in autoclave at 121°C for 20 to simulate the DNA fragmentation occuring during meats processing
